When the designer of these parts asked if these coud be manufactured and made to fit together, the simple answer was "of course Sir". However, instead of the bayonet fitting on the original design, a coarse screw thread was suggested, it was also advised that the parts be made of two dissimilar materials to help prevent them "binding up" when tightened.
